Eva Boker
VP of Marketing
Eva recently joined Scratch as VP of Marketing. Eva’s bright career is highlighted by her role as Senior Vice President of Marketing at LowerMyBills.com, where she helped propel the company from $18 million in revenues to over $100 million in just 2.5 years. While there, her marketing strategy, methodology, creativity and optimization techniques cemented LowerMyBills.com as one of the top 5 online advertisers at the time. She has also held marketing roles in such bell weather companies as Interactive Corp. and The Walt Disney Company as well as successful start-ups such as Shopzilla.com (previously BizRate). Eva has over 15 years of experience in diverse online and offline marketing, product strategy and management, design and communication. She brings a rare blend of brand and performance marketing, analytics and creativity. Eva holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from Queens College in New York.
Mike Cannady
Chief Operating Officer
Mike joined Scratch during its infancy in 2004, and he has helped build nearly every facet of the company, including its key clients, leading talent network, and various revenue lines. Under Mike’s guidance, Scratch has grown from three to forty employees, generated annual revenue growth of 51%, and become an internationally recognized and respected music brand. Prior to Scratch, Mike was an investment banker for Bank of America’s technology group, where he executed M&A, equity, and debt transactions with over $1 billion in value. Mike holds a B.S. in Finance from the University of Virginia, where he graduated with distinction.
Colin Kelly
VP of Events
As Vice President, Colin oversees the operations and growth of Scratch’s corporate events business, as well as the company’s overall talent recruitment and relations. Since joining Scratch in 2004, Colin has spearheaded the growth of the Scratch DJ network from 200 to 700 members, and more than quadrupled its events’ revenue. Colin graduated from Duke University in 2003 with the B.A. in Public Policy Studies. Prior to joining the Scratch team, Colin worked as an Account Executive at J. Walter Thompson on a variety of Cadbury Adams’ international brands including Trident, Halls, and Bubblicious.
Dennis Pilarinos
Director of Technology
As the Director of Technology, Dennis is responsible for information systems that provide Scratch with its Internet presence, business intelligence, and broader technology needs. Dennis' remarkable career includes a long tenure with Fortune 100 financial services firm TIAA-CREF, where he was responsible for the company's Internet infrastructure. While there he helped TIAA-CREF increase the utilization of web services by 3 million program participants and secure 14 state-sponsored 529 College Savings Plans. He brings two decades of experience in diverse business environments, from start-ups like Verified Identity Pass to established publishers like the Economist and Thomas Publishing. Dennis holds a Master’s of Business Administration from Pace University in New York.
Rob Principe
Founder & Chief Executive Officer
As the Founder and current Chief Executive Officer, Rob has effectively revolutionized the DJ and music industry. Through his vision and leadership, Scratch has consolidated the powerful DJ market and grown to become an internationally recognized brand, reaching profitability each year since its inception. Rob has been featured in major national media outlets such as the The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, Crane's, Fortune, CNN, MTV and many more. Additionally, Rob is the co-author of On the Record: The Scratch DJ Academy Guide (St. Martin’s Press) which is nationally distributed and widely considered the definitive book on DJ culture. Scratch today has grown to over forty employees, has three national locations and numerous Fortune 500 clients. Rob holds a B.A. from Duke University where he graduated cum laude.
Neil Sharma
VP of Sales & Business Development
Neil comes to Scratch as its VP of Sales and Business Development, a role in which he is responsible for partnerships across the company's business lines, as well as focusing on sales for the Scratch Weddings vertical. Neil most recently held several positions over nearly a decade at MTV Networks, where in New York City he was a business development director; launched and managed the company's first high definition channel Palladia HD; sold emerging technology platforms for the company's domestic ad sales group; and, out of London, headed the company's international events efforts in emerging market countries. Prior to MTV, Neil worked in media finance, first at Bank of America in its Entertainment & Media Group, and then at Spire Capital Partners, a media- and technology-focused private equity fund. Overall, Neil brings 15 years of media experience to Scratch, across several business disciplines such as sales, strategy, operations, general management, finance, and international. Neil holds a bachelor's degree from Duke University, and an MBA from Columbia Business School.
