Job Description
Scratch Music Group is currently recruiting a star sales manager to join its team and help contribute to the company's rapid growth. We value and reward resourcefulness, drive, innovation, experience, ability to thrive in a start up environment and judgment.
This position will be focused entirely on the wedding industry. Candidates should have an interest in the wedding vertical, and an interest / background in music is certainly a plus.
Job Responsibilities
- Fielding hundreds of online inquiries per month.
- Converting inquiries into sales based on structured revenue goals.
- Reporting on sales metrics including conversion rates, average revenue, margins, etc.
- Managing a sales pipeline through a database/CRM system.
- Attending wedding conferences and regional showcases as needed.
- Working closely with the talent department to gain thorough knowledge of each DJ.
- Intelligently matching DJ talent with prospective brides and grooms.
- Working with other members of the events team on wedding execution when appropriate.
Desired Skills & Experience
- 2+ years sales experience (preferably for a wedding, event, PR, or media company).
- 1+ year recent inside sales experience and knowledge of similar business models in other sectors will be very valuable (conversion of web generated leads).
- Strong interest and passion for sales and business development.
- Excellent communication skills and writing ability.
- Identify and prioritize opportunities and issues, and design strategies and processes to continuously improve the sales process.
- Passionate about growing and building a business to its full potential.
- Music interest, experience, and sensibility a plus.
- Availability to work nights and weekends as necessary.
- Team player that thrives in a self starter / start-up environment.
- Bachelor’s degree and strong academic track record.

Each intern will be given a variety of projects including analyzing potential business development partnerships, researching target markets for expansion, and of course getting their hands dirty helping set up for special events and other time sensitive projects.
